Hanging sleeves

In my last post about finishing up the charity quilt I wrote that I cheated and machine sewed the hanging sleeve on, which is usually a big no-no in the quilt world.

One of my most faithful readers, Anja, asked how I did it. I thought I would show you how, or rather why I did it.

The HST and squares are 3″ finished.

It’s pretty easy to disguise the extra machine stitching.

As for the technical details, I had invisible thread in the bobbin and a very lightweight poly thread on top.
