How do you eat an elephant?

One bite at a time.

Last week I was proud of myself for cutting lots and lots of fabrics for my Jacob’s Ladder blocks. What I didn’t work through at the time is that is in fact an awful lot of blocks to sew all at once.

Sixty eight HSTs needing a flat press, an iron open, and a four-sided trim. I’ll be over here if you need me.

  1. HAHA! I am working through step one of sewing my own 65 squares to become 130 HSTs. They will then need to be cut apart, ironed, and trimmed before I can start on the layout fun. I see you over there, working away! Happy Wednesday! ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. OK, too late for this but I found a really cool rulter. It isthe clearly slotterd trimmer for all sizes of half square tirangles. Used it the other day – I AM IN LOVE. You trim while it before you press and cut off the dog ears. Its genius!
