Ugly Duckling Time

There’s so much more to go before this is done. I hate most of it right now.

But I know I’ll be even grumpier if I abandon this.

  1. Good Morning!
Awwwww, I am so sorry that you are not enjoying this project. I have one of those. I just finished the binding last night and I thought I’m going to pop it in the washer and then it will be completely finished. The washing machine broke, mid cycle. I took the wet mess out and said it just had to get one last dig at me. New washing machine coming tomorrow. That is one expensive quilt. Keep your chin up! You are SO close, and once it’s done you’ll be happy. I hope you don’t hate Jacob’s Ladder blocks for the rest of your life!! {{Hugs}} Happy Thursday! ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. it is going to be a very beautiful quilt when you reach the end, maybe not what you were dreaming of but really nice. and if you still don’t like it you can give it away to someone that will be thrilled to have it. Take care and Happy Sewing from Iowa

  3. First, you have to figure out why you hate it. Colours, layout, etc.. You can’t fully judge the final look when not all the blocks are done. It looks like you’re getting close to finishing, so keep going to get the blocks done and then re-evaluate.

  4. It looks like you are trying to figure out what colors are missing..I think you have enough dark . Make missing blocks .Once you have more blocks than you need it will be easier to lay out.
Hang in there. It’s looking good.
