Well now, isn’t that fancy! And between the four of us, it may be day 100 but it’s actually only post #88. So no big giveaways or fireworks just yet.
So today! Big guild meeting tonight of course but we don’t call it a meeting. Instead we use the catchy and easy to use “December Hanukkah/Christmas/Solstice Social” and we all have fun.
We did a mini mini swap and this is what I made. (And please note the fully attached and completely healed thumb which was amputated a year ago now.)
And there it is, in all its 3.75″ glory. 31 pieces of fabric and lots of fun. And I’m super happy about who got it.
Just squeaking this in before bed. Made the mini. YAY! picture tomorrow.
Am part of the #quiltconrejects. Mildly disappointed but not crushed. It helps that I’m too darn busy to brood. That’s what Dear Abby used to say to a self-pitying person – get off your ass and do something for someone else. It’s guaranteed to make you feel better. (I’m paraphrasing a bit I’m sure).
Just a bit of sewing today, and tiny sewing at that. Tried again for the mini-mini quilt and liked this version much better. I’ll trim down the bits to 1.5″ tomorrow and decide on sashing.
And christmas prep is underway finally! Not sewing though.
Felt like working on the mini-mini quilt for the swap at the guild Xmas social, so I pulled everything out. Got started, liked where I was going, and was totally jazzed about it. Then decided I wanted to change part of it, so I pulled it all apart. And re-did it. And now I don’t like it. Boo.
I’ll spare you the visuals on this one.
I think bad sewing is still better than no sewing but still. I want awesome all the time!
Edited to add this:
I definitely don’t hate it. We’ll see how it shakes out.
